By the end of the year, my fiancee and her daughter will be immigrating to America and we will be getting married. Due to immigration laws, they have to live in America as a resident for 3 years before they can apply for citizenship. Trump has repeatedly promoted mass deportation of immigrants, including legal immigrants. A Trump presidency could result in complications for my family or even separation from my wife and child.
This election is about more than tax policy or regulations. The future of our democracy is at stake. Trump has promised to pardon the Jan 6th rioters. These are violent people who literally attacked our democracy, attempting to prevent the transfer of power to the newly elected president. Trump is a convicted felon who wants to release other convicted felons back onto the streets and stop future investigations into his illegal actions.
It is because of these reasons, and many others, that I am endorsing Kamala Harris as president and ask for you to support small businesses, immigrants, and the rule of law by also voting for Kamala Harris.
